Single-Unit Franchise

What is Single-Unit Franchise in franchising?

An agreement granting you the rights to own and operate one franchise location. This is the most common starting point for first-time franchise buyers and the simplest ownership structure to manage. Some franchise systems are specifically designed for single-unit owner-operators, while others strongly prefer or require multi-unit commitments. Confirm whether the brands you are evaluating allow single-unit entry or require a multi-unit development agreement upfront.
